David Garzon, CPA

David’s passion for accounting started while working in his family’s construction business. With multiple job sites running at once, he saw firsthand how important it was not only to be profitable, but to understand how each project was performing in order to make strategic business decisions. That experience sparked his interest in helping businesses use financial information to operate more effectively and grow with confidence.
He continued his career in the corporate tax department of a local electrical company, where he gained experience preparing business tax returns, foreign-related filings, and tax estimates. His career later expanded into a national tax practice, where he advised privately owned businesses on tax compliance and strategic planning. Working with a large portfolio of companies required speed, precision, forward-looking strategy, and standardized processes.
Through that experience, David developed a strong interest in tax technology, workflow effectiveness, and helping advisors focus more on high-value strategic work rather than repetitive tasks. He believes the future of the profession will be built around stronger systems, better technology, and giving advisors more time to deepen client relationships and provide meaningful guidance.
Outside of work, David enjoys long walks with his wife and two kids, training for long-distance races, and catching up with friends over coffee.
