All of our core values exist within the framework of C.A.R.E.S. We believe that the extent to which one can live these values is directly related to the extent that one cares for themselves.

The more you replenish yourself, the more you have to give to your family, your friends, your passions and your work.

COLLABORATIVE

We build our books of business with autonomy, but we recognize that no one gets there alone. We leverage the collective knowledge, experience and expertise of fellow Dark Horse CPAs to reach our potential both professionally and personally.

ACCOUNTABLE

We are accountable to, and hold to account, those whom we depend upon for client service and firm operations. We are clear as to mutually agreed-upon responsibilities and timelines. This 2-way street enables our time to be spent creating value and opportunities for clients, team members and the firm as a collective.

RESPECTFUL

We respect each other’s time and perspectives while insisting others respect ours. Time is the most precious asset we have in both our practices and lives. Thus, we are diligent in protecting it and ensuring we don’t cause others to waste theirs. All perspectives are valid and are taken into account. Those which further our objectives of client service, operational leverage, and growth are prioritized.

EDUCATIVE

We are lifelong learners. We embrace a culture of learning that facilitates the evolution of our technical knowledge and technological capabilities. We continually up-level our skillsets and services to not only remain relevant in the marketplace, but to gain competitive advantage over less agile firms.

SUPPORTIVE

We support our family and friends, our clients, our colleagues and charitable causes. The goal of self-care is to have more to give to the people and causes that give our life meaning.
