Amended Business Tax Returns
Let’s Fix Those Old Returns
It's not uncommon for tax returns filed in previous years to have mistakes on them. Maybe you missed some deductions or credits, maybe you forgot to report some income, or maybe there's other material issues with how the return is reported. We'll consult with you to let you know what the tax impact of amending the return will be, the risks and benefits of amending (or not amending) so that you can make an informed decision.
If the decision to amend your return is made, we'll step you through the process and let you know what to expect. Finally, we'll ensure that any items that will impact future tax years are accounted for on subsequent tax returns.

Step One
We'll start by examining the return that may need to be amended. We'll provide you with a list of considerations and a recommendation as to whether it makes sense to amend the return in question.

Step Two
We'll prepare and submit a Tax Power of Attorney that will allow us to correspond with the tax authorities on your behalf.

Step Three
We'll prepare the amended tax return and ask any clarifying questions that may arise along the way.

Step Four
We'll discuss with you the results achieved and next steps to put the issue behind you once and for good. We'll let you know what to expect along with the anticipated timelines.
